2011

It is a new year – the time to make a fresh start if the last year wasn’t a great one for you. I have realized that just as we have the opportunity to begin each year with fresh vision and fresh hope as though a line between the new and the old year is drawn in the sand, so we are able to start afresh and anew each time we make a mistake or mess up as we all do at times. This is only because our heavenly Father drew a line in the sand when Jesus came and surrendered all when He took our sicknesses and sin and carried them to and through the cross. The line was drawn, and so no matter what we do, there is nothing that can separate us from Him and nothing that can be so bad that it was not taken care of and finished at the cross. We are therefore righteous and we are able to move past our idiosyncrasies because a price was paid for us. So this year is a clean, new fresh slate for you. What do you want from this year? What are your dreams ? They are able to be yours if you just believe and if you are willing to declare them into being. These are some of my dreams. I am putting them down here as a testimony so that when I share how they have come to pass, it will be a witness to many.

2011 Dreams:

  • To own our own home
  • To see our debt dissolved/cancelled/gone!!
  • To own two cars (this could be a reality very soon)
  • To see my book self-published
  • To travel to India and be part of an outreach.
  • To become slimmer and healthy

These are just a few of my desires – they are not spiritual, but I have realized that Jesus wants to bless us and see us living life fully – this does not mean that they are worldly or ungodly. For too long the church has seen having desires as evil if they aren’t about beating our flesh into submission. Our flesh is in submission already if Christ is in you, the hope of glory. So my challenge would be for you to dream BIG this next year – expect God to do great things in your life and through your life – whatever those dreams might be. Be blessed!!
